Tell the World I'm Coming Home [Open]

It had only been a few weeks, but the young stallion felt like he had been gone a lifetime. He had enacted the only revenge he could for the countless fallen on that fateful night so long ago... and there was no telling how much damage would have to be taken care of upon his return home. Did the jaguars take care of the bodies of his dead? Would there be anyone left to give a proper burial to? Were there any other survivors that had gotten away? His memories were shrouded in the red he saw upon seeing his mother's lifeless body hit the ground... Amorado clenched his teeth at the thought. She had died an honorable death... but she had died far too soon, and even after he made sure each stallion responsible for what happened had paid with their lives, it felt like it still wasn't enough.

When he made it back to the sight of the main massacre, he almost couldn't bare it. The jaguars had indeed taken care of most of the carnage, and he was certain some of the vultures had helped clean up... but the bodies that remained were little more than bones. The total area they were scattered upon was relatively small, so he decided the best course of action would be to leave them as they lay, let nature finish its natural course after death... and ensure the area remained a sacred place. The green-eyed brute let out a heavy sigh, "May your souls rest in peace... the Rainforest Herd will always honor your sacrifices made here... and we will rise up again one day." he murmured, grimacing as he looked up to see a couple vultures slowly descending toward their next meal. Amorado snorted in their direction and turned to walk away.

After a few minutes he approached one of the more popular drinking pools in the territory and lowered his muzzle for a drink. His thoughts were lost in a cloud of worry and uncertainty, but his ears remained alert as he drank... hopefully someone from the herd was still around, either that or someone new would be around... the herd would rebuild some day, and as untrusting as he would be of newcomers he knew that would most likely be the only way they could ever truly rebuild. He finished his drink and raised his crown once more to look around, deep green eyes scanning his surroundings, hoping beyond hope that he would find someone soon.
