Fearless, violent, and passionate man with a vicious temper. He likes to think he is a skilled and cunning fighter. Thinking with his fists first, he is highly intelligent, cunning and, observant. An opportunist, conniving thief and, suppose expert liar. Witty, well-read, and very proud of his wits, which he takes every opportunity to flaunt. He is selfish and sometimes his ego overpowers his logic. Typically only looking out for himself. A highly intelligent charmer with an in-depth knowledge of human nature. Mathias resents authority of any kind, a quality that brings him into direct conflict with any leader. He lives his life by his own set of rules that he refuses to break. He remains defiant to the end. Confident and persuasive, Mathias combines experience with almost reckless daring. Grim and rough-edged, to say the least, but has a knack for dry humor. He is not completely without honor, claiming to be a man of his word. He considers himself a gentleman of the seas and possess a certain eloquence which he frequently uses to his advantage. Mathias has an apparent fearlessness, which could be interpreted by some as suicidal insanity.

Unfortunately from his headaches, much of his past life is forgotten. At least the time before he was stolen and taken by a band of stallions; who considered themselves pirates, on a small island off of the coast of mainland Centauri. At first they thought to sell him. Either for ransom or the highest bidder. However, they found better use for him then throwing him away. He helped with transporting any goods they had stolen. Even avoided capture if their camp was not safe. Rather then keep him in a cell, they made a spot for him near their camp. Mathias only guessed because they didn't want him getting stolen or killed. He grew to learn their ways and their nature stuck to him. Staying close to the captain and quarter master. The crew was not always kind to him. To them, he was just some stupid beast. They would let him roam close to camp, letting him feed off what was there, tossing a few scraps here and there. They seemed to favor him more just after a great battle and a good score. It was not until one day that things got interesting. His portions of food getting less and less. Until it was hardly at all. A sickness took over him and he started to become desperate for a drink.

One night, a crew mate fell and hit his head hard enough that the camp filled with his blood. Mathias found himself eyeing it and ended up desperate enough to drink it. Even when his food and water returned to normal supply, he could not help but to want more. Nothing tasted the same. His head spinning each time, causing different affects on his head. Whenever someone would come to visit him, he tried to think of different ways to get what he wanted. Most of the time it was just tossed aside but each time became more and more violent. Until one time he killed someone. Confusion filled the camp. No one wanting to suspect him. It didn't make sense to them after all and they started to go after each other. No one could be trusted and a riot broke out. The camp started to become a blaze. The last thing he could recall was the fire and waking up a mess along the mainland shore. Picking up what treasure he could and taking off into the unknown.
