Magdalene is what some may call unfriendly. A frost maiden as though torn down from cold starlight, fashioned to flesh. It is a struggle to evoke a sense of warmth or kindness of her, crowds and larger gatherings only serve to conjure up unease and irritation. She speaks with tempered steel, coded in sarcasm and surliness. Elitism hangs in her eyes, an expectancy to be impressed. Loyalty for Magdalene is hard won, but even harder to lose. She is passionate for those she calls family, though violence is beyond her instinct. Aggression is scarcely a ritual she is wanting to observe, far more sensible than to deign to fisticuffs when words could accomplish just as much, if not more.

She came from the equatorial coast, her forebear’s seafaring and influential amongst their neighbours. Theirs was a clan parallel to nobility, though more so because of the stewardship provided by her sire. He was no king, but among his friends he was near close. Magdalene was of his eldest children, born to a loyalist who sought respect among her peers. Given the lack of passion in being a mother, Magdalene suffered greatly from her mother’s avarice. It took little to spur their child to venture away from their southern herd. Hearing rumours she would be used as a bartering tool for an alliance, she slipped away. It was her belief that she was owed more than to be treated as a simple token.
