Naive and sickly sweet, Alune is a pure child that hasn't witnessed how cruel this world can be. She's a dreamer and is often lost in her thoughts, almost seeming like she isn't here a lot of the time. She is fascinated by the moons and the stars, and comes most alive at night time. Alune loves everything to do with nature, if she isn't seen up during the night then you'd be sure to see her amongst the woodland creatures and flowers during the day. Soft spoken and very playful, she enjoys a good chat with like minded equines, though shes actually just happy to chat with anyone when she's not chatting to herself. She loves exploring and adventure, a free spirit that is hard to keep in one spot. Some say it's what caused her parents untimely death.

Alune was born as the younger sister to Aphelios, sharing the same mother and father. Her early life was quite guarded as their parents hated her being out of their sight due to her adventurous and often aloof. Just like Aphelios, she was also put into lessons, though hers were more about how to be a proper lady and trying to get her to focus more on the here and now than on whatever fantasies she may have going on in her head. Sadly due to her aloof, playful and adventurous behavior, it ended up being the cause of her parents death, and she doesn't even know it. You see, she met this stallion while on one of her sneaky adventures, and while she didn't see him in a romantic way, he was a new friend that her parents didn't know about which made it fun and exciting. Day after day she would sneak out to go adventuring with him while she told him the ins and outs of her home, holding nothing back as she rambled on in her innocent and cheerful way. Then soon enough that fateful day had come. During the night her new friend had sneaked past the guards and killed her parents, leaving Aphelios alive due to him sleeping next to young Alune, not wanting to wake her. If they had not been sleeping huddled that night then Aphelios would have also met the same fate as their parents. The next morning the Kingdom was grieving while also on high alert for the murderer. Aphelios and Alune had been guarded from the sight of their parents bodies, yet while Aphelios also tried to help find the murderer, Alune went off to find her friend after she slipped away from the guards. When she found him, her eyes were wet with tears and clear liquid was coming from her nostrils as she sniffled. Her friend then told her he had to go for some time and when she asked why, he simply said he was going to help find who had killed her parents. Alune protested and asked for him to stay but he just shook his head then took off, leaving Alune sobbing on her own. A month had gone by since then and Aphelios had been crowned as the Easts new High King, while Alune was back to her normal self, she had since long forgotten about her secret friend.
